Man Dance Company (MDC) – is the first company of its kind in America, and it prides itself on bringing audiences more than just the experience of great male dancing! Founded in 2009, Founder Bryon Heinrich designed MDC for dancers who can express their athleticism, sensuality and compassion free of restraint. MDC presents inspiring male-themed dance performances, focusing on historically triumphant and GLBT-related stories, during their Summer and Holiday Seasons. MDC also creates new contemporary and story ballets such as their breath-taking NutcrackOr “Fritz’s Dream”, and It Takes Two to Tango “Ballroom Champion meets Ballet Prince”; leaving critics and audiences alike to say: “Spectacular…” -SF Examiner, 2010
MDC presents two professional productions annually featuring eight local professional men, a female guest-star and youth scholarship winners.
MDC will continue to build on its goal of providing LGBT education and dance-scholarship opportunities to the broader arts community with collaboration of local and national arts organizations and outreach to educational institutions.
